Iceland has been making headlines since 2016 not only with its glaciers, volcanoes, puffins, Of Monsters and Men and Björk, but now also with soccer. There is hardly anyone who has not seen the thousands of Vikings shouting "HUH!" in the stadium.
Icelanders are only scary when it comes to soccer. Otherwise, they are friendly people who are very proud of their language and are always happy when foreigners put time and energy into learning this fascinating Germanic language, which is full of harsh and interesting sounds. The intricate grammar and beautiful words make the learning process an experience in itself.
