German B1 for advanced learners - Welcome!

Is your basic level of German good? Then come and join our German class with good basic skills. We’ll learn in an intensive and effective way!
In this course, we‘ll expand our vocabulary on topics such as childhood, the past, and health. We learn about Geman music, films, and TV series. We‘ll describe processes, learn how to express our opinion and opposites. We’ll read newspaper reports and learn to express unrealistic conditions.
We‘ll use the preterite and pluperfect tenses, our first relative clauses, and explore the passive voice and conditional II.

Is your basic level of German good? This course is for participants with a good basic knowledge.  We’ll learn in an intensive and effective way!
In this course, we‘ll expand our vocabulary on topics such as job search and application, everyday working life, services, housing and social interaction in Germany. We‘ll learn how to talk about career aspirations and interests, write applications, practise job interviews, customer conversations and how to act politely. We‘ll learn infinitive constructions, impersonal expressions, two-part connectors, subjunctive II in the past.

Is your level of German already good? This course is for advanced participants with good prior knowledge. We’ll learn in an intensive and effective way!
In this course, we’ll expand our knowledge at an advanced level and develop new vocabulary in the areas of social engagement, role models, biographies, democracy, politics and society, German post-war history, Europe, home countries, and food specialities. We‘ll practise sentence structures with different connectors, prepositions, the passive voice in the past, and adjective declension of comparative.

Grammar and language training for learners at B1 level:repeat important grammatical structures and practise them orally and in writing. There will be regular revision exercises as homework. 

This course has 8 places and takes place on-site at Vivat Lingua!

This course is part of a project supervised by the University of Tübingen. Anonymous data will be collected for a research project.

We learn how to schedule, cancel, and reschedule appointments verbally and in writing, how to best communicate with our colleagues in chat rooms and in the office kitchen, how to send our customers a quote, and what to ask our system administrator when something isn't working on the computer again.
