In 1996, Elke Müller founded a training institute with a focus on "intercultural communication"; 10 years later, she acquired compass Relocation GmbH and merged the two companies into compass international gmbh.
Our core competencies - international personnel development and relocation services - complement each other and have created the space for us to focus more and more on the onboarding of international employees. It is close to our hearts that the integration of "internationals" succeeds in the long term and that a culture of welcome is established in the companies.
Our office team in Stuttgart is complemented by colleagues in the Allgäu and at Lake Constance and a pool of 30 freelance relocation consultants as well as cooperation partners throughout Germany.
Our pool of trainers currently includes about 60 experts for almost all countries of the world and relevant topics such as 'Global Leadership', 'International Virtual Cooperation' or 'International Conflict Management'.
We are your one-stop solution for:
- Intercultural training - gladly also in the virtual seminar room.
- Relocation services starting with the search for an apartment, accompanying you when dealing with authorities and ending with the search for a school or kindergarten - individually & as interculturally competent bridge builders.
- Consulting in questions concerning the immigration process (visa, recognition of degrees, etc.), the onboarding process, the internationalization of your HR department or the intercultural opening of your company.

Adelheid Kumpf and Elke Müller got to know each other in November 2015 while volunteering as model entrepreneurs for the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
